    Elizabeth Harden Gilmore House

View the home of civil rights leader Elizabeth Harden Gilmore who worked to integrate schools, housing and public accommodations in West Virginia. The two-and-a-half-story Classical Revival style residence was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The house is not open to the public, but efforts are underway to restore the house in a manner that preserves Gilmore’s legacy.
