Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial. The march was one of the largest rallies for human rights in the history of the United States, with approximately 250,000 in attendance. Today, you can visit the Lincoln Memorial and stand at the top of the steps in the place where Dr. King delivered his famous speech.
