Neshoba County Historic Sites

Visitors can experience several sites relevant to the merciless killings of civil rights martyrs Michael Schwerner, Andrew Goodman and James Chaney. These include the murder site, the site of the Mount Zion Methodist Church burning, and the old Neshoba County Jail and Courthouse where Edgar Ray Killen, instigator of the murders, was convicted in 2005.
