The former dormitory is a National Historic Landmark. It is included in the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s 2009 list of America’s Most Endangered Places, but with the help of carpenters skilled in working with historic buildings, the floors, staircase and other areas of the dormitory have been revitalized and the dormitory is open to the public. You can also visit a museum on the site that houses three large murals celebrating the influence of the school during its existence.
