    Shiloh Baptist Church

A historical marker at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church commemorates the December day in 1961 when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke to a crowd at Mount Zion Church that was so large – about 1,500 – that it spilled over to Shiloh. Because so many had gathered, Dr. King also spoke to the group at Shiloh, as well as to a third group. The church is still active today.
